The Work
Over the last few years, Vanessa has done countless music videos, weddings, proms, and other special occasions. She has also provided makeup services for many events such as The Barbizon Modeling Competition, Models Inc. Fashion Shows, and The Evangel Cathedral Easter and Christmas Celebrations. The Evangel Cathedral Christmas Celebration is a 12 performance production with a cast of over 200 people. Guests artists of past productions include, but are not limited to, Tamela Mann, Ledisi, Marvin Sapp, Wes Morgan, Tye Tribbett, Shirley Cesear and Mary Mary.
The Passion
More than anything, Vanessa loves mentoring teenage girls. Mark 12:33 says "...we must love God with all our heart, mind, and strength, and that we must love others as much as we love ourselves..." Vanessa believes that beauty comes from within and it is just as important to build someone up on the inside as it is to make someone up on the outside. Vanessa has been able to give back to the community by participating in such events as the Andrew Jackson Academy Career Day, Child and Family Services Agency Fashion Show, Project InSPAration, and Boys and Girls Club Anacostia Money Matters Competition.
The Artist
Vanessa Gibson is a certified makeup artist located in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. She first fell in love with makeup the day of her senior prom. Vanessa realized then that makeup was a wonderful tool that could help women feel better about themselves. She started her company 2007 and became a certified artist in 2012.
